Why women should work after marriage ?

It was a usual happy weekend evening when I asked my partner to suggest me something to write for my blog apart from frequent topics like relationship attachment compatibility and marriage. I stated that I want to discuss something more practical, more real and deep and he openly said why don't you write about working women or why women should work or why they should be working after marriage?

And then from where It all began On the first place why even there is a thought among society and in our Indian culture, That should women work after marriage, do we ever think these questions for men?

No then why for women?

It's just hard to define and is a strong questionable topic even in this era. Whenever a question is asked, why women should work?  The women referring here could be a friend, wife, sister, mother or any other women we know. Besides who asks this question is even more interesting. The society of which we are a part of

I am so grateful that I have a partner who is supportive and thoughtful not only for me as his wife but for his friends' sister and mother plus for every other woman who is willing to work and are already managing their families and professions wonderfully I have noticed him acknowledging his women colleagues who are working hard for their families and balancing their lives perfectly.

Since few men believe that women should not work, for them here are few great benefits for women to stay in the workforce or why women should work after marriage?

1.     Working women and mothers are less stressed out and concerned than non-working ladies. While working women enjoy a happier state of mind, stay-at-home women have to deal with more depression and stress.
2.     When women have something to focus on except their home and husband, the chances of marriage is likely to increase more. If they bring some extra money at home, then there will be less financial pressure.
3.     When their kid notices that his or her mom is managing everything, from office to their homework, with absolute dedication, they get inspired by her and kids start to follow her as their role models.
4.     When they are financially stable, they can bear their expenses and don’t need to seek money from their partner. Being financially self-sufficient they can not only help their family but also they can give the kids a better tomorrow.
5.     Working women will see life through a new lens and with a bigger landscape, while the days of stay at home women circle their family and partners.
6.     If they have self-identity, they feel confident and happy. This confidence motivates women to break stereotypes and achieve something bigger in life.
7.     They start to see life from a broader prospect and become less judgemental. Their general knowledge improves; they perceive life beyond the four walls. It also helps in improving personal and professional growth.
8.     Working women connect with different people from different backgrounds. Communicating with different people opens the mind and widens perspectives.

A woman should have a voice to do a job or not to. Like men, women also have the right to work and no one is allowed to deny this right to her. Employers should take a wise step to bring gender equality at the workplace.
Men and women complement each other, so when these two workforces work together a better result will produce for sure. Having a direction in life makes them understand that they have a life beyond motherhood and playing a good wife. A woman should work for the betterment of herself, her well-being and happiness.
