What is latest guidelines for marriage in October 2020 ?



Now, from 15th October, more people will be allowed to attend marriage function with the government easing restrictions on gatherings.



Since 21st September, marriage functions could have a guest list of 100 people, now with new relaxations, around 200 people can attend these gatherings. Till 20th September, the restriction for marriages were 50 guests.

The new guidelines for re-opening that comes into effect from 1st October allow social, academic, entertainment, cultural, religious, political and other gatherings to have more than 100 people in presence subject to certain restrictions from 15th October.

In closed places, a maximum of 50% of the hall capacity will be allowed but with a ceiling of 200 people. Wearing of face masks, maintaining social distancing, provision for thermal scanning with the use of hand wash or sanitiser will be mandatory.

In open areas, it will be keeping the size of the ground or the space in view and with a strict practise of wearing of face masks, maintaining social distancing, provision for thermal scanning and use of hand washes or sanitise.

State and Union Territory governments will issue-specific Stand Operating Procedures for such gatherings.
